Chief of Staff
Dr. Michael Putnam, our Chief of Staff, is a 1990 graduate of Eastern Illinois University with a B.S. in Zoology and a minor in Chemistry. He is a 1995 graduate of Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Putnam and his family moved to Richmond, Kentucky after the sale of their Illinois-based veterinary hospital in 2007. While in Illinois, he was the Rabies administrator for Adams and McDonough Counties. During that time, Dr. Putnam was also in charge of the local animal shelter. Under his management, they were able to achieve the highest adoption rate and lowest euthanasia rate for that shelter in more than 30 years.

Dr. Putnam loves every minute of his work and believes, "There is not a better hospital to be a part of, and it shows in the way we treat our clients and patients!!"
