Milton Ortiz, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Milton Ortiz is a 2024 graduate of Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine. He grew up in Puerto Rico where he obtained a bachelor's degree in Biology with a minor in Biodiversity Evaluation from the University of Puerto Rico at Ponce. Dr. Ortiz worked on summer research projects at Purdue while finishing his bachelor's and then moved to West Lafayette, Indiana in 2020 to study veterinary medicine where he graduated summer of 2024 and earned a certificate for Clinical Excellence in Veterinary Internal Medicine from the ACVIM. In addition, Dr. Ortiz is Fear-Free certified in general practice and shelter medicine. Also, Dr. Ortiz has traveld to Guatemala to work directly in Wildlife Rehabilitation efforts. His areas of interest in veterinary medicine are soft tissue surgery, neurology and shelter medicine. Dr. Otiz is bilingual, being fluent in English and Spanish!
Outside of work, Dr. Oritiz loves hiking and being outdoors. He takes his two furbabies: Luna, an Australian Cattle Dog mix and Eevee, an Australian Shepherd on hiking trips and trails almost every weekend and that is one of his favorite times of the week.
Dr. Ortiz is very excited to join Richmond Veterinary Clinic and provide the highest quality of veterinary care for your furry family members! Dr. Ortiz wants to continue making a positive impact in veterinary medicine by improving the quality of life of his patients and developing long-lasting relationships with his clients.
